This little studio is slowly taking shape. We moved in the two hottest days OF THE YEAR. Ok maybe not, but it might well have been.

We were exhausted & sticky & dirty.

Now, trying to iron out a heap of creases (not literally) and make this place feel like home.

The walls need a lick of paint, the floor will be covered in epoxy. The lights must be ordered & put in, the ceiling must be painted. The blind must be made. I have to arrange my space in a way that feels calm & inspirational.

Look! A whole 25sqm to myself.

I haven’t been this excited about a studio space since moving out here to the Eastern Cape. Though I love the open rafter look, I have been beyond frustrated with dust. Dust in and on EVERYTHING. No, with a closed space, I can actually leave my fine art scanner out from under all those cover cloths!

My little corner, is part of the larger warehouse space that our Leather company @faber_collective will be moving to. So yay for having husband close still!

I promised some glimpses, and here is one, plus my accend, for free 🙂
