Silk Scarves

These silk scarves were one of the dreams that came true. When I set out to paint independently so many years ago, I really wanted see where I could take the artworks, to what other surfaces. Though not new, the art of the silk scarf, I wanted to see how my pieces would translate across canvas.

Each of these artworks used, has a story. The one that is most special to me, is the one with the pressed flowers we refer to as Ouma Rina. These flowers I picked & pressed with my late grandmother in the early 90s. I then arranged them & printed them on a selection of textiles, including these silk scarves.
